On September 27 morning, the People’s Committee of Lang Giang district implemented construction protection of the project upgrading and improving the provincial road No 292 in the district. The protected construction site was in Ben Pha village, Nghia Hung commune. Chairman of the district People’ Committee Nguyen Van Bang and Vice Chairman of the district People’ Committee Than Hai Nam directed at the site.

The project upgrading and improving the provincial road No 292 has been implemented under Build-and-Transfer (BT) contract with the start point intersecting with the National Highway No 1 in Kep town to the end point in Bo Ha bridge. The route is 8.3km long passing 4 communes and town including Kep, Nghia Hoa, An Ha and Nghia Hung at the scale of level-3 flat road. The total investment is nearly 180.4 billion VND. After being completed, the project will help to improve the traffic network, ensure traffic safety and order and contribute to boost the local socio-economic development.

The project has been completing construction; however, a number of households and individuals in Ben Pha village, Nghia Hung commune obstructed construction of the project on the traffic land in front of their houses. The questions and complaints raised by the households related to land acquisition and compensation for land clearance were received for resolution and answered by the district People’s Committee, People’s Committee of Nghia Hung commune and competent agencies of the district. However, 9 locations relating 12 households in Nghia Hung commune obstructed construction affecting the project progress.

Thus, the construction was smoothly proceeded. The constructor reinforced machinery and labor forces to ensure 3-shift construction work. As of September 28, the protected construction sites had been completed as scheduled and approved plan.
