Implementing the Plan No 495/KH-UBND dated February 9, 2022 of the People’s Committee of Bac Giang province on carrying out the One commune one product program (OCOP) of Bac Giang province in 2022, the district People’s Committee issued the plan No 80/KH-UBND dated May 5, 2022 to launch the “One commune one product” program in Lang Giang district in 2022. Accordingly, the district will organize propaganda activities on OCOP program; provide training to improve competence and cognition about OCOP program; support development of OCOP products under value chains and suitable to the advantages and conditions of each commune and town; develop and reinforce OCOP economic entities; request communes and town without any recognized OCOP product to review and select products conforming to the advantages and strengths of the localities with a priority for processing ad traditional products, striving to have at least 1 product rated 3 star OCOP product in 2022. The district targeted to have 3 to 5 more products rate 3 stars or higher.

         In order for rating the products, the district People’s Committee promulgated the Decision No 2960/QD-UBND dated May 12, 2022 to establish the Evaluation Board and the supporting team of the Evaluation Board to rate OCOP products of Lang Giang district in 2022 while issuing the regulation of this Board.

          As a result, in the first 9 months of 2022, My Ha honey product was recognized a 3-star OCOP product by Chairman of the provincial People’s Committee. The district will continue directing the communes and towns and entities to complete dossiers, stamps, packaging and labeling of the products including pineapple in Huong Son commune, Phu Lao wine in Dao My commune, rice noodle in Huong Lac commune to participate in the district-level rating before November 20, 2022 and provincial rating in November 2022.
