On August 2 afternoon, Vice Chairman of the provincial People’s Committee of Bac Giang province (PPC) Phan The Tuan inspected implementation of the investment project of the Tan Hung industrial park (IP) infrastructure and the investment project on building technical infrastructure of Huong Son industrial cluster. He was accompanied by leaders of some departments, agencies and investors of the IP and industrial cluster. The delegation was received by Chairman of the district People’s Committee Nguyen Van Bang, Vice Chairpersons of the district People’s Committee Than Hai Nam and Bui Thi Huong Lan, representatives of some related agencies and divisions of the district and Chairpersons of the People’s Committee of the 3 communes of Tan Hung, Xuong Lam and Huong Son.
The delegation takes site visit to Tan Hung IP
The delegation had paid a site inspection to Tan Hung IP which is invested by Lideco Joint Stock Company. About 105.3 hectares of land had been retrieved from 752 households and individuals in 2 communes of Xuong Lam and Tan Hung.
The district has removed 142 graves for land clearance, reaching 99.24 percent. 9 households in Xuong Lam commune with 0.8 hectares have not completed compensation for land clearance.
The project on building technical infrastructure of Huong Son industrial cluster is invested by NHS Investment and Construction Joint Stock Company covering an area of 65.3 hectares of land retrieved from 195 households in Huong Son commune. To date, 59.8 out of 65.3 hectares have been completed land clearance. The remaining land will be handed over to the constructor in Q4 this year.
At the meeting, the investor of Tan Hung IP requested the district People’s Committee to boost the households who had received compensation to soon remove trees and crops on the land clearance areas to avoid disputes. In case the households do not remove their assets, the district needs to arrange security force for the company to construct the public service road and material gathering camps. Besides, the company requested the provincial People’s Committee to accelerate the construction progress of the intersections with Bac Giang-Lang Son expressway to facilitate investment attraction while directing competent agencies to accept the frontage roads from BOT units (the section across Tan Hung IP) to hand over the company for construction under the approved planning scheme. For the project on building technical infrastructure of Huong Son industrial cluster, the investor required to handle the overlapping land area for the frontage road section within the expressway and industrial cluster projects to meet the conditions to hand over land for the company.

At the meeting, leaders of the district People’s Committee clarified many related contents. Concluding the meeting, PPC Vice Chairman Phan The Tuan highly evaluated the efforts and creativity of the party committee and government of Lang Giang district in implementing land clearance for building industrial parks and clusters.
He appraised Lang Giang district in land clearance of the industrial parks. He stressed, this is the first project gaining high results in land clearance with large area in a very short time. The investor has proactively cooperated with the district to remove obstacles annd support the people.
However, the project remains some limitations i.e. slow land handover and land lease while the investor has not actively occupied the land. Besides, the district has not proactively implemented merging Tan Hung industrial cluster into Tan Hung industrial park. Some locals organized crowded complaints related to the industrial park project.
In order to speed up the construction progress of Tan Hung IP and Huong Son industrial cluster, the PPC Vice Chairman urged the district People’s Committee to pay high attention to completing land clearance for the remaining area of Tan Hugn IP project in August 2022. Besides, they need to support the investors to surmount difficulties in implementing the projects while handling complaint letters of local people against the projects. It is necessary to soon finalize land handover and land lease documentation in August 2022. The investors were required to closely collaborate with local government to acclerate infrastructure construcion especially the wastewater treatment station and speed up building the traffic roads returning to local people.
